Bangkok, Thailand. Part 5. What to buy? What to try? (REVISED)

After sharing my experience with Bangkok on my past few entries, hope it did help a little in planning your next trip to this land of smiles.

In this last entry on Bangkok, i am gonna just list down a few items (food or product) that you must not missed when you are in Bangkok! Worth giving them a try, or grab them, since you are already there!
Apart from those that are already a known 'fact' of Bangkok... ( eg. Tom yum soup, papaya salad, green curry, etc...)

Given the scorching weather all year round in Bangkok, i am gonna introduce you 2 thirst quenching drinks you must try!

1) Pomegranate Juice

It can easily be found along the streets of Bangkok. It's freshly squeezed and bottled.
I'm sorry but i really can't remember the price, but i know it's very cheap.
(Price quoted at Chinatown is slightly cheaper than those along Pratunam area.)

2) Fresh Coconut Drink

This can also be easily spotted along the streets of Bangkok. Get the chilled ones! Very refreshing for the warm weather in Bangkok!

3) Naraya

Naraya is almost a must buy for all tourists to Bangkok. They produce fabrics products ranging from handbags to home decor and kitchen ware, etc...
What makes it so popular is because their products are so pretty, durable yet with reasonably cheap price. (Affordable and presentable as souvenirs too!)

There are many outlets in Bangkok and Thailand, you won't miss it. Happy Shopping! =)

Eg: Central world, Siam Discovery...

4) Fried Rice!!!

I just realized i've had tried quite a few fried rice in Bangkok! And surprisingly, most tasted nice and to my liking although all were ordered randomly. I would suggest to order their seafood fried rice. =)

5) Mango Glutinous Rice!!

It's easily available in Bangkok, do get those freshly packed ones. Pour the coconut milk given over the lukewarm glutinous rice, eat together with the sweet Thai Mango. OMG, it's surprisingly delicious!!
If you didn't get the chance to taste it during your trip, do grab the last chance at BKK's airport. They do sell at 180baht/ pkt. Eat it while it's still fresh, warm! yum yum! :P

6) Thai Iced Milk Tea

As it's mentioned Thai Iced Milk tea, hence it's easily available in most eatery in BKK. They are RICH in taste (good blends of strong tea and milk) and sweet, however smooth to the throat!
I personally love the ones selling at The Black Canyon Coffee, Bangkok. =)

7) Tidbits!!!

The most recommended tidbits i have came across so far, other than the traditional snacks that we would get in BKK, would be the above. It's cheaper in BKK, and some flavors are only available/ produced in Thailand! Eg. Pocky: Chocolate Banana Flavor!, Pretz: Larb Flavor!

Do buy in a box of 10s! =)

Available at BIG C supermarkets and some other tidbits stall.

This marks my last entry for Bangkok. Hope you will have an enjoyable trip to Bangkok, the land with more than smiles.

Coming up next... ( Hong Kong episodes... what, where, how?)
